What is Encircle™ Remote Termite Detection System (RTDS)?

Encircle RTDS is a smart home system that continuously watches for termite activity around your property. It instantly alerts your pest management professional when termite activity is detected, so they can respond quickly and precisely. 

How is Encircle RTDS different?

In many cases, traditional termiticide treatments are applied after damage is discovered. Encircle RTDS uses in-ground smart sensors to detect termite activity first - so treatment Is only applied when and where it’s needed. 

Where are the Encircle Stations installed?

Encircle Stations are placed discreetly in the soil around your home, typically no more than 20 feet apart and 1 to 3 feet away from the foundation. The stations detect termites as they forage naturally, without disturbing your landscape or outdoor living spaces.

How do I get Encircle RTDS?

Encircle RTDS is only available through authorized pest control companies. 

What happens when termites are detected?

If termite activity is detected, your pest management professional will receive an alert through the Encircle Application Dashboard via email and text message. They’ll contact you to schedule a visual inspection and, if necessary, apply a targeted treatment plan tailored to your home.

How does the Encircle Smart Sensor detect termites?

Each Encircle Smart Sensor contains a material that termites can feed on. When termites chew through the sensor, the system immediately registers the activity and sends an alert to your pest management professional.

What types of termites can Encircle RTDS detect?

Encircle RTDS is designed to detect subterranean termite species.

Are regular station inspections needed?

No. Encircle RTDS provides continuous monitoring. Your pest management professional will inspect the system only when an alert is triggered or during routine service checks, so you don’t have to worry about scheduling home visits unless it’s absolutely necessary. 

How long does installation take?

Most installations can be completed in an hour by an authorized Encircle RTDS pest management professional. 

How long do the batteries last? 

Each Encircle Smart Sensor is powered by long-lasting lithium batteries that typically last five years or more.

Will Encircle RTDS affect my internet speed?

No. The system transmits only a very small amount of data each day and will not affect your internet performance.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes. When connected via Ethernet, Encircle RTDS does not require access to your home Wi-Fi network. The system meets all U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirements for data security and safe operation. Click here to view our Privacy Policy.  

What happens if the power goes out or I lose internet connection?

If your power or internet connection is interrupted, the system will automatically reboot and reconnect once service is restored.
